Wander – the Peaks Island Self-Guided Audio Walking Tour!

Not long after moving to Peaks Island, I noticed something happening again and again. Visitors would step off the ferry excited to explore, but many ended up wandering without really knowing where to go, what they were seeing, or the incredible stories hidden all around them.

When I stopped to help, I heard the same thing over and over:

“We’re just wandering and don’t know where to go or what there is to do here.”

That’s when the idea for Wander was born.

I wanted to create an easy, affordable way for visitors to explore Peaks Island at their own pace while discovering its history, hidden gems, beautiful ocean views, local landmarks, and the unique spirit of our island community—all without needing a guided tour.

Today, Wander is a self-guided audio walking tour that begins just steps from the ferry landing and leads you through some of the island’s most memorable places. Whether you’re visiting for a few hours, spending the weekend, arriving by cruise ship, or you’re a local looking to see the island with fresh eyes, Wander helps you experience Peaks Island in a fun, meaningful, and memorable way.

My goal is simple: to help you make the most of your visit, discover places many people miss, learn something new, and create lasting memories while exploring one of Maine’s most charming island communities—my community.
